Manchester City winger Kevin de Bruyne is eager to step up his assists this season.

De Bruyne made 21 assists in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg last season.

He told City's website: “It's an advantage, obviously and one of my main strengths is to create opportunities for my team-mates.

“Last year it went really well at Wolfsburg and I'm trying to repeat that here – it's not as though I'm always searching for the final ball – I just do the things I feel are good for the team and when the positive statistics come back it's obviously nice for me.

“So long as the teams wins, though, that's all that really matters."
