DC United striker Wayne Rooney will not consider a loan return to the Premier League in January.
The Mirror says Rooney will resist any attempts to return to the Premier League during the MLS off-season.
With the MLS final in December Rooney, who will lead DC United today in the final game of the regular season, would be available for a comeback at a suitable English club.
But having enjoyed his new life across the Atlantic, Rooney doesn't fancy returning to England and dealing with the stress of a domestic comeback.
The 33-year-old former England skipper has been instrumental in saving DC United's campaign and his arrival helped cement a play-off spot.
A source said, “Wayne really doesn't want to come back to England to play.
“He's absolutely loving it in America and isn't missing all the negativity surrounding the Premier League.
“Clubs will be interested in him but it would be a tough job to try and persuade him to come home. He is fully focused on DC United."
