DC United striker Charlie Davies says his successful playing return is down to the "genius" of coach Ben Olsen.
Davies has surprised even himself with the way he has handled his return from long-term injury in MLS.
"If you look at it, it's actually genius of what Coach Olsen has done for me," the former Sochaux forward told the Washington Post.
"I haven't played in a year and half, and just to throw me in, regardless of whether I am ready to start, it's an easy way to pick up injuries. He's done a great job of just giving me a little bit, a little bit, a little bit more, letting me get used to the league and get minutes under my belt."
