DC United sign Robinson to Homegrown contract

DC United have signed teenage ace Jalen Robinson to a Homegrown Player deal.

The 19-year old defender has been added to DC's senior roster after signing his first professional contract, becoming the seventh player the Washington club has brought up from their Academy.

"Jalen is one of the most athletic players in all of college soccer who can play center back or right back," said united general manager Dave Kasper in a statement.

"He is very composed on the ball as he looks to play out of the back, and he also excels at one on one defending."
