DC United have confirmed that they have secured head coach Ben Olsen on a multi-year contract extension.
The 36-year old former Black-and-Red midfielder has committed himself to the cause by penning a new deal after guiding the Washington club to the top of the MLS standings this season.
Olsen currently has DC sitting top of the Eastern Conference table and fourth overall in the competition and the boss was delighted to pledge his allegiance to the club for the foreseeable future.
"Close to half my life I've been a part of this proud club," Olsen told the club's official website.
"DC United has become my family and my identity. It is where I belong and thankfully, with this extension, it is a place I'm going to be for several more years.
"My commitment to winning and having a team that our fans and community are proud of will continue to be my priority."
Olsen took charge of DC in August 2010, initially as caretaker, before taking over permanently at the end of the 2010 MLS season. He led the club to the 2013 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup title.
