MLS club DC United have secured the services of Pablo Hernandez on loan from Uruguayan outfit Defensor Sporting.

The 23-year old Argentine forward has signed a short-term deal with DC and will become available when the transfer window opens on July 15.

DC general manager Dave Kasper said the capture of Hernandez was an exciting one for the club.

"He is a very technical player with great athletic qualities who makes things happen around the goal," Kasper said.
