DC United teenager Andy Najar has been named the 2010 MLS Rookie of the Year.
The 17-year old Honduran midfielder pipped New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream and Philadelphia Union forward Danny Mwanga for the award.
Najar appeared in 26 of DC United's 30 matches, scoring five goals for the team who finished with the worst record in the league. His performances also netted him the DC MVP.
