DC United’s Jakovic receives Canada call-up

DC United defender Dejan Jakovic has been called up to the Canadian national team.

The 25-year old Serbian-born is in the squad for DC’s US Open Cup semi-final against Columbus Crew which is currently being played but will then be available for international duty.

Canada take on Peru on Saturday, September 4 at BMO Field in Toronto and Honduras on Tuesday, September 7 at Stade Saputo in Montreal.
