DC United's Hamid training with USA squad

DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been training with the USA national team.

The former US Soccer Development Academy keeper was called up to gain experience with the senior squad and was delighted to have been given such a wonderful opportunity.

"These past two days with them have just been amazing," Hamid said in an interview on ussoccer.com.

"When I got here yesterday, I thought about it and was like, he plays for West Ham and he plays for A.C. Milan and just thinking about that, and he's already been to a World Cup, and just thinking about that and me being on the same field as they are, I'm thankful for the opportunity, really."

Hamid admitted he was already thinking about making his debut for the national but admits it is definitely down the track.

"I'm praying that one day I get that call up. I can't wait. That's definitely even more of a reason to work hard every day to get to this level," he added.
