DC United have released South African forward Thabiso 'Boyzzz' Khumalo.

The 29-year old was released after eight goalless appearances for the MLS club this season and one goal in 27 matches overall.

Khumalo joined DC permanently at the end of the 2008 season after a loan from Pittsburgh Riverhounds earlier that year. He has had a previous MLS stint, with Chicago Fire in 2005, but has spent most of his US career with lower league clubs after settling in Kentucky from South Africa when he was 16.
