DC United have officially announced the acquisition of Bolivian defender Juan Manuel Pena.
The 37-year old former Bolivia international will become a DC player when he receives his P-1 work visa and will go onto the club’s playing roster as a Senior International.
Pena spent about 14 seasons in Spain’s to flight with Valladolid, Villarreal and most recently Celta Vigo and brings a vast array of experience to the MLS club as stated by general manager Dave Kasper.
“We are pleased to be adding a player with a vast amount of experience in La Liga and with the Bolivian national team,” said Kasper. “Juan will provide our team with a tremendous amount of leadership and experience. We look forward to his contributions to our club.”
