DC United not too worried about LA Galaxy

DC United midfielder Dax McCarty says there is no point getting too carried away when a big team comes to town.

This weekend, DC host LA Galaxy with stars David Beckham and Landon Donovan in tow but the former FC Dallas man says there is no need to get too worked up prior to this meeting.

"As professionals, you want to approach every game the same," McCarty said. "No team, no opponent is any bigger than another opponent. We're going to treat it just like any other game."

McCarty's words were echoed by teammate Santino Quaranta who feels that the presence of the big name Galaxy players may help the DC team get themselves up for the contest.

"They provide a little bit extra with the star power they have, and I think it brings out the best in a lot of teams," Quaranta said. "I think it'll be a good challenge for us to see where we are as a team, coming off two league losses.

"It'll be brought up that it's just another game just like it's any other one. You have to settle into the game just like it's any other one. If you come out to try to do something different than you're used to, the outcome might be turn out a little different for you."
