DC United goalkeeper Zach Wells could be close to retirement, according to the Washington Post. Wells has taken an indefinite leave of absence to contemplate his future, coach Tom Soehn confirmed.

"He is at a point in his life where he needed some time to think about what is next -- if he wants to continue," Soehn said. "We have an open line and he will keep me informed as to what he wants to do."
