DC United general manager Dave Kasper is eyeing young goalkeeper Bill Hamid as a long-term prospect for the club.
The 18-year old shot-stopper signed a deal with United last week that will not allow him to play in MLS matches until next season but he is eligible to cut his teeth for Champions League matches and friendlies.
Kasper says he is a good prospect for the club.
"We are going to take a long-term view of Bill because goalkeepers mature a little bit later. We think he has the right qualities to be a very successful goalkeeper at D.C. United," he said.
