DC United enter agreement with Leidos

DC United have confirmed a new sponsorship agreement with Washington-based national security, health and engineering solutions company Leidos.

The Washington club have signed a contract that will run three to five years for Leidos to serve as the primary sponsor with their logo to appear on the front of Unired's playing strip.

The club's co-owner Jason Levien revealed in a statement that the new relationship came at a very exciting time for DC United.

"We are extremely excited for the opportunity to partner with such an innovative company that recognizes the value of our sport and our brand, both here and around the world," said Levien.

John Jumper, Leidos chief executive, added: "Soccer is a growing, global sport and we are a growing company with our eyes on the future.

"This sponsorship will help enable us to get exposure not only locally, but throughout the country and internationally."
