DC United chief Kasper at ease over Wicks/Burch stoush

DC United general manager Dave Kasper says the on-field stoush between goalkeeper Josh Wicks and defender Marc Burch is now behind them.

The pair were involved in a heated exchange on the pitch recently but Kasper said it was nothing to worry about.

"The last several minutes of the game were particularly intense," said Kasper.

"At the end of the day, you want your keeper to step up and take a leadership role. Can he learn to do it a little bit differently? Probably.

"But he's got the right stuff and that's what we want. We want someone to lead and organize in difficult times during the game. I'm not bothered by it. Everything is fine. We move on."

Midfielder Ben Olsen and Wicks also commented on the incident.

"We're done with it. They're friends again," said Olsen.

Wicks said: "That's water under the bridge. It's nothing a box of chocolates can't fix. It's all good."
