DC United are expected to announce a new deal for Clyde Simms this week. Simms's previous deal was to expire this month, leaving him free to negotiate overseas. (His MLS rights remained with DCU.) Simms earned $59,000 this season and probably received a hefty raise after starting almost every match in league and tournament play, says the Washington Post.
Meanwhile, DC United management are yet to secure defender Bryan Namoff to a new contract.
