2010 USL Premier Development League defender of the year Joe Tait is on trial with MLS club Philadelphia Union.
The 21-year old Englishman joined the Dayton Dutch Lions (USL Professional Division) from Baton Rouge Capitalists this year after winning the defender of the year award last season and has now close to taking the next step with the Union watching over him.
However, Tait does not hold a green card and the Union do not have an open international roster spot which suggests they will not sign him this season but nevertheless, he is there training with the MLS club who currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference.
