Dawson thrilled with West Brom move

Former Rochdale defender Craig Dawson is delighted with his move to West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old centre-half yesterday put pen to paper on a three-year contract, plus a further year's option in the club's favour, before rejoining League One Dale for the remainder of the season.

"West Brom is a great club with a great staff and great head coach," Dawson told the WBA website. "I'm looking forward to getting involved and working with these people.

"I know about Albion because you always look out for teams on the up and pushing into the Premier League.

"I've still got a lot to learn and I can use the staff here at West Brom and go back to Rochdale and play games.

"It will give me time to get used to the staff down here, the different training methods and still be getting games at the same time.

"You only have to look around the dressing room here to see there is a great set of talented lads.

"I'll be looking to learn from them."
