Dawson says Spurs fans can convince Redknapp to stay

Michael Dawson has called on Tottenham fans to make their voices heard by manager Harry Redknapp.

Dawson believes the Spurs fans - who chanted pro-Redknapp songs during Saturday's demolition of Newcastle - can persuade the manager to stay at White Hart Lane.

Dawson said: "I think they (the supporters) realise what he has done since he came in. We were in a bad situation, doing badly in the league table, players playing below par - a lot of the players that are here now - so he has lifted everyone.

"So of course the fans are going to be happy when we are putting on performances like against Newcastle and where we are in the league table.

"He certainly lets you go out there and play and I think the way we play on a regular basis. We go out there and the lads certainly play with no fear.

"We have put the ball at risk at times, but we just express ourselves. When you have players in the team like we have... it's unbelievable."
