Dawson: Hand Keane Spurs captaincy

Michael Dawson is keen to see Robbie Keane handed back the Tottenham captaincy.

Keane, who rejoined Spurs last week, was skipper during the goalless draw against rivals Arsenal at the weekend and will get plenty more opportunities as Ledley King cannot play matches in quick succession.

Jonathan Woodgate and Jermaine Jenas have been previous vice-captains and Dawson himself has also been named as skipper for a match during the campaign.

"I believe whoever leads us out leads by example and Robbie did that," Dawson said.

"But when you cross that line there are 11 players out and everyone has to lead by example.

"You know that Keano is very vocal and he encourages people if they need to be told."
