Dawson excited by new Spurs striker Soldado

Tottenham skipper Michael Dawson is excited by the new signings made this summer.

Even with the uncertainty of Gareth Bale's potential departure to Real Madrid, Dawson remains upbeat with the club having spent almost £60million already on Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and Etienne Capoue.

Dawson told the Mail on Sunday: "The goals Gareth scored last season were unbelievable but we have good players in the squad he couldn't have done that on his own and I think he would be the first to say that. We have brought in players that are going to hopefully get us to the next level." Dawson is already having to take on centre forward Soldado in training and said: "Roberto is a top signing. You look at his movement. He can send you one way and then another. As a club you never want to stand still, you want to keep improving and that's what we've done this summer."
