Michael Dawson is chasing a new deal at Tottenham - and an England recall.

Dawson, who has four England caps, also harbours hopes of a ­recall to the national side.

"I have never given up hope," he said. "There are so many great ­defenders around at the moment.

"All I can do is play for Spurs - I want another contract here."
