Michael Dawson admits older brother Andy had an influence on his move to Hull City.
The former Tottenham captain made the move to the KC this week.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a hero's welcome when he appeared on the pitch at half-time of Thursday's Europa League tie against Lokeren.
It was a stark contrast to his reception on his previous appearance at the KC Stadium in February's 1-1 draw with Spurs.
"Back then, the fans sang something about me being a worse version of Andy - or words to that effect anyway," he said.
"It was all light-hearted and good fun and I would have given them a wave - but we were losing at the time.
"The reception the other night was massive and it's great to have the fans right behind me."
