Davis return gives Rangers welcome boost

Rangers have one less selection headache on the eve of their Champions League match with Bursaspor after Steven Davis was declared fit to play. The midfielder had been a doubt for Wednesday's game at Ibrox after suffering a hamstring injury late in Sunday's 3-2 win at Aberdeen.

But after completing training on Tuesday afternoon Rangers confirmed the influential midfielder would be able to take his place.

"He (Davis) was able to train fully at Murray Park and that is a huge plus for manager Walter Smith," a statement on the club's official website said.
