Davis ignores Rangers uncertainty

Rangers and Northern Ireland midfielder Steven Davis insists he has no desire to leave the club. "I'm a Rangers fan so I knew how big the club was. Coming here has only backed that up," the 24 year old told the Sunday Mail.

"Teams raise their game against Rangers in the SPL so it is never easy.

"But the quality might not be the same as the English Premier League which is probably the best in the world.

"I enjoyed my time in England, playing against good teams and testing myself.

"But I don't have it in my mind at the minute to return. I am enjoying my time at Rangers but maybe in the future I would like to play in England again."

He added: "It has been well documented everyone is up for sale if the price is right.

"I don't think I am going to be put in that situation so I'm not thinking about it. We knew in January the club needed to sell a player.

"Birmingham had a bid accepted for Kris Boyd but he opted to stay and the players here were delighted.

"We know the financial situation the club is in and that there might not be any more players signing. So the responsibility is on our shoulders.

"But we showed last year this squad is capable of winning. And a few young lads are getting a chance."
