Sean Davis admits his Portsmouth career is back on track after Harry Redknapp's departure to Tottenham.
Davis is desperate to play his part in Pompey's survival bid to ease the pain of missing out on last season's FA Cup final win.
Former boss Redknapp told Davis he was not in the Wembley squad just two hours before Pompey's 1-0 victory over Cardiff.
The former Spurs and Fulham star said: "That was the low point of my career. To not even be on the subs' bench was hard to take.
"I joined in the celebrations after the game but did not really feel part of them. You do not want to be throwing yourself around the pitch when you are wearing a suit.
"I did not get a medal and decided not to go on the open-top bus the day after the final.
"I spent the day with my family instead.
"After that I felt like my Portsmouth career was coming to an end but since Harry left I have played almost every game. I love the club and want to do my bit to help us stay up.
"The last couple of results have been an improvement but we need to keep winning because a lot of teams are still battling to survive."
