Davis admits Portsmouth future uncertain

Sean Davis admits his future at Portsmouth is in doubt.

The midfielder said: "I need to be playing and either earn a new contract or get another club.

"I pushed it when I had 18 months left and they said they would get back to me but they haven't. There's quite a few players in the same position.

"Nobody really knows whether they are coming or going at the moment. It is a testing time. If the club sells in January you know the direction it's going. We'll only find out the club's ambitions then. Lassana Diarra is on his way but then who is going to stand in the way of a player going to Real Madrid.

"Even if we had loads of money nobody can stop a player fulfilling a dream like that.

"But obviously it's different for me. I've been at Portsmouth a long time and it feels like home. The fans have been really good to me. I've made good friends here and if we could keep the players we have and strengthen the team it could still be a good place to be."
