Billy Davies has said he would be interested in the Hearts job - if he could pick his own team.
Hearts are currently under the charge of caretaker Stephen Frail, but owner Vladimir Romanov is understood to be looking for a more experienced man.
"They have not been one of the clubs who have spoken to me, but I'll sit back and see who's interested," said the ex-Derby County manager, who was turned down for the Scotland job in January.
Davies also admitted that he is desperate to get back in management and would consider any offer which came his way.
"I'll work anywhere, even abroad, I'll go back to England if something comes up or I'll stay in Scotland. I will listen to any offers.
People know my track record and if they want to have a chat with to me I'll be perfectly willing to listen."
