Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies wants on-loan Nantes striker Ivan Klasnic to be signed permanently.

Despite scoring six goals in nine league starts this season, manager Owen Coyle appears unsure about Klasnic and there have been questions over his fitness.

Davies has enjoyed playing alongside him and feels he would be a good addition to the squad.

"I'd definitely like to see him stay," he said. "He has abilities on the pitch but he is also great to have around the dressing room. It remains to be seen whether the club and Ivan can sort something out.

"Whether the manager wants to keep him is a private decision to make at the end of the season."
