Charlie Davies is close to achieving success with Danish club Randers after helping them to a 1-0 win in the first leg of the DBU-Pokalen (Danish Cup) semi-final.
26-year old American striker Davies came off the bench late in the victory over AC Horsens at home with the two clubs set to do battle in the second leg on April 18.
In the other Danish Cup semi-final first leg, Brondby and Esbjerg drew 1-1, with the winners of both contests to playoff in the 2012/13 final next month.
Since joining Randers last summer, former Hammarby, Sochaux and DC United attacker Davies has failed to find the net in 18 league appearances.
