Hull City captain Curtis Davies has urged fans to forget about West Ham attacker Robert Snodgrass.

The Tigers defender admits they have struggled to fill the void left by the Scot's January departure which saw the 29-year-old accused of refusing to play in order to engineer a £10m move to West Ham.

Davies insists the ex-Norwich midfielder will receive a warm welcome from his old team-mates no matter what the reaction from supporters, and he said: "I'm not sure how the fans will react, the crowd might be a little bit mixed.

"Losing your top scorer in January is hard to take, but he'll get a good reception from us because you have to respect a player who has done that much for the team.

"I wouldn't say he carried us but you're obviously going to miss a player like that for his goals and assists. The way he performed this season, he was a big player for us.

"We appreciate what he did for us but he's moved on and we've moved on. The money he brought in allowed us to sign new players but it would be a lie to say we haven't missed him."
