Fulham completed their remarkable escape from relegation last season with a final day win at Fratton Park and Cottagers midfielder Simon Davies hopes a return to Portsmouth will bring to end a run of four Premier League games without a win. He said: "It's good to be going back there. It was an unbelievable day there at the end of last season and hopefully we can tap into that when we go back this weekend.
"They've got a good strike partnership down there now with Crouchy joining them but so have we with Bobby (Zamora) and AJ (Andrew Johnson)."
Davies told Fulham's website: "If you look at every team in the Premier League they all go through tricky spells where they find it difficult to score goals and get the wins. We're having ours now but we'll come back stronger from it.
"It's a very long season. I'm sure everyone is disappointed with the results but you go through spells like this during the season. The quicker we get back to winning ways, which I'm sure we will do, the better."
