Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies was happy with the clean sheet they achieved against Portsmouth.
He told AVTV: "We are happy with the point. It was always going to be a tough game against Portsmouth.
"We will take the confidence from the clean sheet and the main thing is we limited them to very few chances. We also created plenty of openings ourselves.
"The worrying thing would be if we weren't creating those chances. The positive thing is the clean sheet - particularly as a defender.
"The Chelsea game may have been 2-0 but it could have been 5-0 - they were tearing us apart. It was one of their best games but we weren't at it.
"It was important to prove ourselves defensively again and I think we did that."
