Davies keen to get started after leaving Sochaux for Randers FC

Charlie Davies is looking forward to starting a new chapter in his career after signing with Randers FC.

The 26-year old American striker departed French club Sochaux late last week to join the Danish SuperLiga outfit and is keen to begin again after a stuttering career of late due to a serious car accident in October 2009.

"I am excited to get going again after the summer break, and hopefully play me back on the US national team. I've tried it before and my main motivation is to do it again," the former Hammarby and DC United man told bold.dk.

"The Danish league gives me a good opportunity to move forward in my career and through my past in Swedish football, I know a part of Denmark. I also know that there are more American players in the league.

"I know Yura Movsisyan (ex-Randers forward) personally and know he had great success in Denmark. I will do my best to help Randers forward, while helping myself back in top form."
