Hull City skipper Curtis Davies says the players are to blame for defeat to Burnley.
Davies has assured fans that the players accept responsibility.
"Regardless of what fans think, the manager thinks, press think, us as players have taken responsibility for that," Davies told the Hull Daily Mail.
"We know we are going to be better than that and we've got a lot to prove to the fans again.
"The criticism doesn't hurt because we know it was fully justified. We aren't hiding from that fact.
"We were disappointed in ourselves. We know we're better than that and we know we won't be as bad again.
"Sometimes I guess you're due a bad performance and we'll be doing everything to make sure that's ours out of the way now. It's important we make sure it was a one-off."
