Davies happy with Bolton scoring form

Kevin Davies is delighted with his scoring form for Bolton Wanderers this season.

"I guess everything stems from the first game of the season against Stoke," he explains. "I got a goal and scoring goals breeds confidence. So, if I'm not scoring now, I'm finishing disappointed.

"That's four in seven now and I am delighted. I just want to keep it going. And if I score and we get the win then it's even better.

"As for England, there are enough strikers around but hopefully they will get a few injuries," he smiled.

Davies put Wanderers on the way to victory at West Ham last Sunday, ending a run of three successive league defeats.

"Performance wise we were not too far away," he added.

"We played Manchester United and Arsenal and didn't feel we were miles away. But this was a massive win for us."
