Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies has hailed the role of the fans this season at Villa Park.
"I thought that might be a one-off because it was against one of the big boys but I soon realised that Villa fans are brilliant for every match.
"The fans don't stop singing. Even when we're under the cosh, they get behind the lads and that really helps.
"We have superb support at Villa Park and away from home it's been unbelievable too.
"I read somewhere that it's a mix between fans encouraging players and players getting the supporters going. I'd like to think that's definitely the case at Villa.
"We really appreciate their backing and I'd like to think we've given them plenty to cheer this season."
