Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies says it's time fans started getting behind manager Gary Megson.

"I think if you look at the size of our squad and the money we've spent compared to other teams, it's not big," he said.

"It's been a stop-start season - we've won a few, lost a few and not really managed to put any consistency together.

"But it's something we want to build on and hopefully we can bring one or two fresh faces in to help push for places because it's been pretty much the same lads out there week in week out.

"Hopefully we can bring one or two quality players in to help us out."
