Billy Davies' future at Derby County remains in doubt, it has been revealed.
This is despite him signing a one-year extension to his contract recently, taking him through to 2010.
He has already been linked with the vacant position at Championship club Leicester, who parted company with Martin Allen a fortnight ago.
As well as being bottom of the table, County have conceded 15 goals in their five league games including a 6-0 thrashing against Liverpool.
They are also already out of the Carling Cup after a shock defeat on penalties to Blackpool last month.
