Davies: Bolton need three experienced signings

Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies admits he wants manager Gary Megson to sign at least three experienced players in January.

“I think the players would like to see two, maybe three players come in during January,” he said. “We have had a few young lads on the bench recently with not much experience, and you need that.

“We have got a decent squad with good quality but it is always nice to get two or three more who could be pushing for places and come in to do jobs when we need them.

“I think Danny Shittu showed against Wigan that he can come in and do a job, as there are a couple of others who can fill the gaps when necessary but we do need players to bolster the squad. The second half of the season is going to be tough, we need everyone we can get.”
