Davies: Bolton deserve credit for Al Habsi success at Wigan

Bolton Wanderers skipper Kevin Davies feels the success of Ali Al-Habsi at Wigan Athletic is down to the Trotters' coaching staff.

Al-Habsi's presence in the opposing goal adds extra spice to this weekend's derby.

Wanderers helped transform the Oman international from a relative unknown into a top Premier League performer, but Davies still aims to find a way past him at the DW Stadium.

"From where he came from to where he is now, the goalkeeping coaches at Bolton deserve a lot of credit," he said. "They turned him into a top keeper. He is a great lad and it will be great to play against him. Hopefully, I can put one past him."
