Manchester City midfielder David Silva sees victory over Southampton as a must.

Silva says the Blues need a confidence boost and his return against the Saints would provide that.

“When the team is in a bad run the next game is difficult because you need to react, get some confidence and get back to winning ways," he told the club website.

“So we hope we can do it against Southampton and after that, we have another game at home to Hull and the chance to advance to the League Cup semi-finals, so we are looking forward to changing the dynamic of the last three games and turn it to positive."
