David Silva has assured Manchester City fans they will win the Premier League this season.

The Daily Star says last month he dropped in on supporters at their local pub the Crown Inn and told them: City will win the Premier League title this season.

He said: "The Premier League is the achievement I'm looking for.

"Winning the title this year is what we have got to focus on - and nothing else.

"I am just concentrating on us winning the Premier League. We are all feeling the same at City, trying to go forward and perform."
