Chelsea defender David Luiz has urged calm after going top of the table.

Luiz has called for caution after Sunday's 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough took Antonio Conte's side top of the Premier League table.

"It is the first time in the season that we are top of the League, but we have to understand that it is just the beginning," Luiz told Chelsea TV after the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

"We have done an amazing job, but we need to keep our feet on the floor, act with humility, because every game is tough.

"It's important to finish top of the League. Of course we are happy to be first now, but it is too early to speak about the title. It's important to be top for the last League game, that's our goal."
