Chelsea returnee David Luiz says now is the time for the club to return to the top of the Premier League.

The Blues won the title under Jose Mourinho in 2014 before falling away to a 10th-placed finish last season.

Upon his return to Stamford Bridge, former PSG defender Luiz believes two years is long enough for the Chelsea faithful to wait for another premiership.

When asked about the English title eluding him, Luiz told chelseafc.com: "It is time to do it!

"And I hope it will be this year. I am working hard for that and this is our goal this season.

"We don't have the Champions League to fight for so for sure we will try to win the Premier League and both cups."
