David Edgar admits he's unsure of his future at Newcastle United.

The Canadian defender told the Evening Chronicle: "I'd love to stay.

"I've been here seven years, so I have had a little anniversary. Whether I stay in the team or not, I want to fight for it.

"There has been a little bit of talk on it. It's hard to say anything at the moment. I have to wait and see.

"But my contract is up at the end of the season like a few other players."
