Toronto FC assistant coach Nick Dasovic's future with the club seems to be in doubt with news that he is not in Turkey for the pre-season training camp.

Dasovic, who served as caretaker coach for the MLS club at the end of last season, had moved back into this assistant's role after Dutchman Aron Winter took the lead job.

But his absence at the training camp has raised question marks over his position and comments made by a Toronto spokesman suggests that there is something to hide.

"There's nothing to report at the moment on Nick," a TFC spokesman said Monday in Toronto. "The club isn't commenting on the reports."

If there was no doubt about his future, surely the club would say that Dasovic was simply remaining in his role as Winter's number two but not commenting provides some suspicion.
