Darlington sign Sunderland youngster Bagnall

Sunderland youngster Liam Bagnall has joined Darlington on-loan to the end of the month.

The defender, 19, is set for his first taste of senior football with the Conference Premier side, who take on Mansfield Town at Field Mill on Saturday.

Darlington manager Craig Liddle told the club's official website: "I have to say, Sunderland have been fantastic with us. They've bent over backwards to help us.

"Liam is extremely highly rated by the coaching team up there [at Sunderland]."
