Promotion-chasing Darlington have signed Middlesbrough midfielder Jason Kennedy on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has made seven first-team appearances for Boro and has spent time out on loan at Boston, Bury and most recently this season with Livingston.

"The games are coming thick and fast between now and the end of the season and we need a strong squad, particularly as injuries and suspension can bite as the season progresses," said Quakers boss Dave Penney.

"Jason is a talented young footballer who has had a fantastic education at Middlesbrough, including Premiership experience. He will be an asset to the squad."
